A fun week was had by all as children and adults alike hopped, jogged, boogied, stepped and walked throughout various events in support of Sports relief. One of the main events the children took part in was a sponsored obstacle course, which was fun and a bit challenging, with hopes of raising plenty of money for this good cause. Throughout the week children also learnt about heathy lifestyle choices. Below are some photos from the day (more will be added).
Year 3 had an interesting time visiting Verulamium in the city of St Albans earlier this week. At its peak, Verulamium was the third largest city in Roman Britain, with no less than 7 temples within the city walls! During the day children had a chance to connect with history and experience a snapshot of how the people of the era would have lived - this included experimenting with the typical style of dress that people would have worn.
During Book week the children had an amazing time discovering the author Roald Dahl, reading his many and varied books and getting fired up to do their own creative writing. Throughout the week they created their own stories and made models depicing characters from the stories they had read. The week culminated in a whole school assembly where the children shared their learning with each other. Take a look at some of our photos below!
