Celebrating harvest time has been a tradition for many centuries. We used it as a time to collect food to give to the Hillingdon Food Bank, a sign of gratitude for the things we do have. We would like to say a big thank you for all that donations that were made !
On Wednesday 10th October John Locke celebrated healthy minds day. We turned our playground into a positive playground and celebrated all the kind things we can say to each other to help us smile. In class we talked about the different activities we can do to help us calm down in exciting or overwhelming circumstances. We came up with ideas such as meditation, belly breathing, yoga, playing with Timmy and Shelly or getting outdoors and enjoying nature.
Year 2 recreated The Great Fire of London and absolutely loved it. The fire went from house to house just like it had done in the actual Great Fire of London. We also had a visit from The Hillingdon Fire Brigade who taught us lots about fire safety.
