
Sports day 2019
Throughout this week the children had the chance to take part in a sports day - some of the activities were very much team based - such as a bean bag toss, kick or throw a ball into a goal or a fancy dress race but the days also included some traditional sports day races. Even the parents had a race! We are very impressed with the attitude of all the children who were all stickasaurs and collaborate-a-dons and enjoyed the activities in their teams. Reception trip to The Chiltern Open air Museum
Today the Reception children went on a school trip to the Chiltern open air Museum. As part of the day the children were able to explore woodlands, go on a bug hunt, learn about aquatic habitats (which included pond dipping) and explore insect life around the 45 acre site, something that linked in nicely with their terms topic of 'let's explore'. Blast! Primary School Showcase
Yesterday some children in Year 1 and Year 3 had the chance to use their musical talents at the Blast! Primary School Showcase, a group concert event where whole class groups from schools across the Borough can show case some of the skills. The children in our school showed off their Samba music skills. Well done year 1 and 3, I think everyone was thoroughly impressed!

John Locke Summer Bake Off!
Dear John Locke Community, First of all we would like to say a HUGE THANK YOU to everyone that entered the JLA Bake Off! The overwhelming number of cakes that entered were absolutely fantastic. Not only did they look amazing, which matched the summer criteria, they also tasted great. As you can imagine, this was not an easy decision for judges.It was very difficult choosing 3 winners, however with lots of discussion we managed to whittle down to first, second and third place

Barnhill sports festival
Well done to the fabulous Year 2 children who took part in the Barnhill sports festival. The children had a great morning which left our teachers feeling proud as always!
