Things to be grateful for at John Locke Academy……….
As a value based school you are no doubt aware that in recent months we have been hi-lighting values such as, kindness, generosity, tolerance and gratitude.
With this in mind we want to share some news that we can all be grateful for.
The children have enjoyed various fundraising days this term, including Children In Need Day which raised a fantastic £851 through donations for wearing pyjamas and the cake sale. We were also able to give a large amount of food to the Hillingdon Food Bank with your generous harvest festival donations. The parents Macmillan Coffee Morning raised £152.
Attached is information from Sports Relief with the amazing total that has been raised by children at John Locke Academy.
We are going through a difficult time supporting Mr Butler and know that many families are struggling with similar situations.
Thank you for your continued messages of support for Mr Butler. He remains in good spirits and is focused on getting better and returning to JLA as soon as is possible. Like you, we are all missing his presence enormously but will continue to uphold the ethos and culture already established at JLA.
As mentioned before half term, many parents have enquired about passing on gifts or donations for Mr Butler. If you would like to contribute in some way, Mr Butler would appreciate donations made to the Macmillan Cancer Support Charity. We have set up a Just Giving Page on behalf of Mr Butler. We realise that this time of year can be an expensive one so the page will remain active for the remainder of this academic year (until July 2019).

Once again thank you for the support you have shown to Mr Butler and the JLA team at this time. Kindest regards, Ms Roebuck and the JLA Team
