Homework
At John Locke Academy, we believe that homework is an essential part of pupils’ learning. Homework is set and children are encouraged to, and expected to, establish good homework habits from the beginning of their school life. Homework will be carefully planned to extend learning, enhance and reinforce skills and understanding, and allow children to consolidate and improve their skills further. The nature, type and amount of homework will vary according to the age and ability of the pupil.
Where possible and suitable, homework will be set and completed via Google Classroom with paper copies available for children who do not have access to a computer at home. Homework is set and completed on a weekly basis. Teachers will provide regular feedback via Google Classroom or in class. Reception teachers will provide feedback linked to reading via the reading records.
